"Dr Sure's Unusual Practice are making punk music that is potent and political but always tongue in cheek. Their debut album 'The West' is a product of the times. A stream of consciousness compendium akin to scrolling the endless feed; satirising news and current affairs, spouting click-bait opinion pieces and denouncing oppressive power structures. Appearing on the Melbourne scene fully formed in November 2018, Dr Sure's Unusual Practice have been busy in their short lifespan - releasing 3 singles, 3 video clips, and now heading on their 3rd tour for 2019 - with their signature wonky, groove-based post-punk. The band have developed a strong audio-visual relationship through the surrealist video clips which have accompanied each single, a series that is set to continue across the 10 track album. 'The West' is out June 14 through Marthouse Records and the band are taking it up the East Coast through June/July."
